One question that is always asked is does it treat more then just pain? The answer is YES! Please see the email I just received from a student in my May 2012 seminar. Please note that “BA” means Battlefield Acupuncture “Dear John, I attended your seminar in May and have been using the BA since.I am the 5 Element practitioner with some age on her, you may remember.I wanted to tell you of a patient whose life has changed on a spirit level since I starteddoing BA on her.
This lady is in her eighties has had a radical mastectomy, 3 spinal surgeries, repeated bladder cancer, and a lot of referred pain from the lumbar stenosis.
I have tried everything in my TCM training, 5 Element training, she sees our massage therapist our Zero Balancer and nothing helped with the pain.
I offered to experiment on her with BA, quite frankly because I was uncertain that anything would help.
I have to do all 5 points on each ear for maximum benefit. She is down to a 2-3 in pain.
Here is the amazing part, not that the BA isn’t amazing as well, this lady lives with a family that is estranged and some what hostile and disconnected. There is a lot of forgiveness and self blame.
The gold balls in her ears, the needing to have them checked for infection and the stimulation with the magnet forced a communication between mother and daughter and grandchildren.
The children wait for their grandmother to return from treatment to see her ears, to offer to help, to look. The daughter checks her ears every day. They were hardly speaking before this.
Grandma has become one cool old lady who is getting attention that she in her saddened spirit would never have approached anyone for anything. “I don’t need them, I am fine”
She comes in once a week ,is in much less pain and her spirit is soaring.
